Hoewel Lean Publishing een relatief kort boek is met iets meer dan 100 pagina's en 20.000 woorden (ongeveer de lengte van een novelle), heb ik er veel over nagedacht, onderzoek naar gedaan en eraan gewerkt. Had ik er minder werk in gestoken, dan was het 200 pagina's geweest en minder vermakelijk.

Dit boek onderzoekt het idee van Lean Publishing in detail, waarbij zowel de betekenis als de oorsprong van de verschillende aspecten van Lean Publishing worden behandeld.
Het eerste hoofdstuk, Definitie, onderzoekt de definitie van Lean Publishing uitgebreid en gaat diep in op elk van zijn componenten. Dit hoofdstuk vormt de basis van het Lean Publishing Manifesto op https://leanpub.com/manifesto.
Het tweede hoofdstuk, Oorsprong, behandelt de oorsprong van Lean Publishing. Deze omvatten alles van Victoriaanse seriefictie, fanfictie, beta-boeken, blogs en mijn eigen ervaringen.

About the Author
Peter Armstrong
Peter Armstrong is the founder and CEO of Leanpub. He has over two decades of experience in software, including eight years as a developer at Silicon Valley startups. He founded Ruboss in 2008, and launched Leanpub in 2010.
Peter coined the term Lean Publishing. Lean Publishing is the act of publishing an in-progress book using lightweight tools and many iterations to get reader feedback, pivot until you have the right book and build traction once you do.
