There are many ways to develop Organizations (including ‘services’ Organizations) so here is ‘yet another’ Organization development method (called ORG), suitable for some, but not for all purposes
The primary focus of ORG is to help make your Organization ‘COMPETITIVE’
The primary methods, in ORG are based on ‘Planguage’ in the Competitive Engineering book, 2005, [CE]
Terms in [square brackets] refer to writings cited in the ‘References’ section, at the end of this book.
The Planguage methods, are a set of rigorous, quantified, well-defined methods. They are ‘ENGINEERING’, as opposed to ‘craft’ [PoSEM], or to informal intuition.
That means the following
ORG is based on a clear defined logic [DL].
Like, ‘regarding relationships and priorities’.
For example, stakeholders determine values, Values determine designs, sets of values and costs - model Organizations better - than singular ideas. Numbers are better ways to communicate variables like values and costs.
ORG is more appropriate, when the Organization environment is, or will be, large, complex, dynamic
ORG is Scale-Free, meaning it can be used for small-scale and for gigantic-scale Organizations and Organization environments
ORG can be used for any type of Organization or service, both commercial and non-commercial (government, charity).
ORG is not primarily about ‘winning’ [Martin] or ‘making a profit’: it is about determining and delivering a reasonable and satisfactory, to stakeholders, balanced set of Values and Costs [Optima]
ORG is specifically designed to avoid losing, and to avoid failure
ORG is based on the idea of immediate and continuous Value Stream delivery, with frequent cycles of feedback, learning and improvement. [Productivity]
